Few practitioners embody this philosophy more fully than Rita Carnevale, Shamanic Healing Facilitator, whose work blends Indigenous wisdom traditions, energy healing, bodywork, and compassionate guidance to support profound personal transformation.

For Rita, healing is both a calling and a lifelong path. Her journey into natural wellness began decades ago through studies in colon hydrotherapy, massage therapy, reflexology, craniosacral therapy, BodyTalk, Reiki, and other holistic modalities. Following a profound personal healing experience through a sacred Lakota Pipe Ceremony, her path expanded into the study of Indigenous healing traditions, eventually leading her to train with the Four Winds Healing the Light Body School and Don Eduardo Chura Apaza, a Q’ero medicine man from the high mountains of Peru.

At the heart of Rita’s work is the Medicine Wheel of the Q’eros lineage, an ancient framework that honors the interconnectedness of body, mind, spirit, nature, and the sacred directions. The Medicine Wheel serves as the foundation of her healing practice and the basis of her Transformational Healing Package.

The Wisdom of the Medicine Wheel

The Q’ero people are known as wisdom keepers of the Andes Mountains of Peru. Their teachings recognize that imbalance often begins within the energetic body before it manifests physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. Through ceremony, intention, and connection to nature, the Medicine Wheel offers a pathway for releasing what no longer serves and returning to a more authentic expression of self.

During healing work, the Four Directions and their archetypal energies are called upon to create sacred space and support transformation.

The South is represented by Serpent, inviting the release of old patterns, beliefs, and energies that have completed their purpose. The West is the realm of Jaguar, where transformation occurs and new possibilities emerge from uncertainty. The North is guided by Hummingbird, bringing joy, remembrance, and connection with ancestors and spiritual teachers. The East is represented by Eagle and Condor, symbolizing spirit, vision, and the manifestation of a new path forward.

Together, these teachings create a nurturing container for healing, empowerment, and renewal.

Session One: Shamanic Healing Bodywork & Energy Healing

The first session provides a grounding and restorative foundation for the journey ahead. Rooted in the Medicine Wheel teachings, this nurturing experience supports energetic clearing, deep relaxation, and inner balance.

Rita blends Reiki, healing energy work, Foot Reflexology, Cranial-Sacral Therapy, rhythmic massage, and sacred stone work to encourage the release of stagnant energy while restoring harmony within the feminine and masculine aspects of self. Inspired by the wisdom of the Four Directions, the session invites emotional and spiritual renewal while helping clients reconnect with their authentic nature.

Rita’s gentle and intuitive approach encourages the nervous system to settle, muscular tension to soften, and a profound sense of peace to emerge. Many clients describe this session as deeply soothing, heart-centered, and restorative.

Session Two: Illumination Energy Healing

Often described as the heart of the work, Illumination Energy Healing focuses on identifying and clearing energetic imprints held within the chakra system and subtle energy body.

According to shamanic traditions, these imprints may represent the energetic origins of physical challenges, emotional wounds, limiting beliefs, or recurring life patterns. Through compassionate guidance and intuitive healing, areas that are ready for transformation are gently brought into awareness and supported with light, clarity, and renewal.

As stagnant energy is released, many people experience a greater sense of freedom, emotional clarity, self-awareness, and connection to their true essence. This deeply restorative session often leaves clients feeling lighter, more grounded, and more aligned with the direction they wish to move forward in life.

Session Three: Soul Retrieval

The final session of the Transformational Healing Package is Soul Retrieval, an ancient shamanic practice that supports the recovery of lost aspects of oneself that may have fragmented through past trauma, difficult experiences, or childhood wounds.

Using the rhythmic guidance of a drum or rattle, Rita leads participants through a guided shamanic journey into a symbolic inner landscape where healing, insight, and self-discovery can unfold. This process encourages the release of limiting agreements, reconnection with personal strengths, and the recovery of aspects of one’s authentic self.

The journey also invites connection with archetypal wisdom, spiritual guidance, and power animal energies that support empowerment and personal transformation. Many participants leave feeling renewed, clearer in their purpose, and more deeply connected to themselves.

In addition to her healing sessions, Rita offers Life Consultation Card Readings for those seeking guidance, clarity, and fresh perspective.

For more than 25 years, Rita has worked with Medicine Animal Cards and other divination decks as tools for reflection, healing, and personal growth. She also created her own deck, the Vagabond Dancer Cards, inspired by her love of travel, exploration, and movement.

Drawing from a variety of decks—including Medicine Cards, Mana Cards, Hawaiian Cards, the Mayan Oracle, and the Vagabond Dancer Cards—Rita approaches each reading as a collaborative exploration. The cards serve as allies and way-showers, offering insight into life’s transitions, meaningful questions, and opportunities for growth.
